Better than expected

While this certainly should not be the only resource used to prepare for the CCS portion of the exam, it may be useful for some.
I understand that this book may not be necessary for everyone who is preparing for Step 3 (especially current residents), but it may be useful to those who are looking to review the management protocols of the pathologies most commonly tested on CCS. I have found this book useful in that regard. It is set up very nicely and tells you what the ideal and optional management should be for each case.
Best CCS-specific book I have found to date.
Update: I passed Step 3 on the first attempt, with a CCS score that was well in the passing range. I am an IMG/FMG with no residency experience and used several sources (including this book) to prepare for the CCS. It was a nice compliment to the practice banks and was good for a quick nightly review of similar cases that I had practiced during the day.

Great book for teaching the CCS

I am a psychiatry resident, which means I didn't spend a lot of time managing most of the conditions that are tested on CCS. This book has over 100 cases to review. It explains the likely diagnosis from just the presenting symptoms. It also tells you how to approach each case in order to maximize points in the CCS. I highly recommend this book, in conjunction with computer simulations (e.g. U-world), for preparing for the CCS. I used the Kindle version, which is great for reviewing cases when you are on call.
