"The Illad" (and "The Odyssey") is a great book but it can be a pain to read. "The Illad for Children" (and "The Odyssey for Children") takes this masterpiece and puts it in terms that "a child could understand," literally. Try reading this book once, then go back and read the original and you'll be surprised what you've been missing. It's all the thrill without the headache.
